According to our inside source, Rick Ross who got to hear MI’s work when he was in the country (Nigeria) some time last

year for a show, was impressed with MI’s sleek delivery and particularly his freestyle ability which he compared to that of his favorite rapper Lilwayne, but left the country without any talks of having the Jos born lyricist on his record label. Our source said, probably the recent recognition of Nigerian acts on the
international scene, with the release of Dbanj’s Mr Endowed track feat the legendary East Coast re-presenter, Snoop Dogg and his later signing to kanye’s record label with his mentor Don Jazzy, might have prompted the self claimed Rap Boss decision.

Maybach Music Group already boast of a Nigerian rap act by the name Wale, the rapper who we heard was happy with this development said He can’t wait to have a

fellow Nigerian brother on the same label. If signed to this label, expect to see MI being featured by some of world’s best artist like Lilwayne, Birdman, Jay Z, P diddy, DJ Khalid etc.
